The Centre for Peace Studies, University of Tromsø
The Centre for Peace Studies is a research and co-ordination project in Peace Studies at the University of Tromsø, Norway. The project is funded for the period 2002-2006. In the assignment letter from The Department it is stated that "the Centre is to establish new competence within the field of peace- and conflict-studies, and within such areas as ethnicity and democracy-building. The centre is to have a co-ordinating role for the field, both nationally and internationally".

The Norwegian Conflict Councils
The official site of the Conflict Councils (Mediation Boards)of Norway. They mediate in around 7000 cases a year, partly criminal cases which is sent to them from the police and is an alternative to the court system, partly civil cases. The mediation is done by lay people and is organised to cove the whole country through 23 sercretariats.
